During a pandemic, a father, who had a stroke, felt increasingly useless in front of his family members. His wife and children, who are now forced to do all their household chores due to the pandemic, have to deal with the increasingly unstable emotions of the “head of the household”. The uncomfortable atmosphere at home gets worse when a man who is an old friend of his wife suddenly comes and helps fix a broken water pump.

Dorothy (Fiona Samuel), a lone swimmer, luxuriates in tranquil bliss at a deserted pool — only to have her solitude rudely interrupted by a squad of swimmers. A wordless, strikingly choreographed conflict ensues as Dorothy attempts to assert herself against the dehumanised aggression of the swimmers.

Ruth is an eccentric, determined woman who wants control over everything. Even death. So, she goes to Zurich for a tidy, orderly exit. But her chaotic granddaughter Lori gatecrashes, and will not go back home without her. They have an unexpected holiday together.
